In recent days, fighting between Syrian government forces and Kurdish-led groups has caused large numbers of civilians to flee their homes.
The United Nations and migration agencies report that more than 150,000 people have been newly displaced in Rojava just in recent clashes around Hasakeh and surrounding areas.
Many people are in urgent need of shelter, food, water, medical care and protection.

LUMA Fund is a collective of war survivors, former refugees, acivists, community representtaives and professionals from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds in the Middle East, including Kurds, Assyrians, Armenians, Alawites, Yazidis, and others.
United by humanity, we support minorities in need across the Middle East. Our work begins in Rojava (northeast Syria), where hundreds of thousands of people are displaced or living under siege in areas such as Hasakah, Qamishlo, the Jazira region, and Kobani.
We work in close contact with local partners to deliver urgent humanitarian support where it is needed most.
