Utrecht Solidarity Event for the Yezidi Genocide Victims

In August 2014, ISIS committed genocide against the Yezidi community in Şengal. Thousands were killed, and many women and girls were abducted and enslaved. Justice has still not been fully served.

Rojava played an important role in the fight against ISIS and in protecting minorities. Today, the region faces new threats, and vulnerable communities remain at risk.

This solidarity and educational event is organized by KSVN to remember the victims and raise awareness.

Charity Event For Rojava 

Since 2012, a democratic project has been developing in Rojava. In a region that faced war and violence, people have shown that different communities can live and work together. Now this project is under threat again.

This evening we come together to show our solidarity. Several speakers will talk about the current situation in Rojava. There will also be dinner and music.

All money raised will go to the Kurdish Red Crescent. They provide medical and humanitarian aid in conflict areas, run hospitals and ambulances, and save lives every day.

Alawite Massacre Remembrance Event

Thousands of #Alawite civilians were killed in the Coast Massacre in Syria, targeted because of their identity and ethnicity. According to Human Rights Watch, these killings constitute serious violations of international human rights law. On March 7, we gather to remember the victims and acknowledge what happened.
